Rest in Hand
Shortlisted for the Contemporary Cutlery Design Competition
A little look at Rest in Hand, my entry for this year's Contemporary Cutlery Design Competition.
The project explores the relationship between hand, movement and material, drawing inspiration from the tactile process of shaping clay with pottery ribs. Each piece was developed through grip and touch, allowing the form to emerge directly from the hand.
I was delighted to learn that the project was shortlisted for the competition. While it wasn't selected as the final winner, I'm incredibly grateful to have had my work recognised alongside so many talented designers.
